This is a 300,000 TPY 650mm hot rolling line, manufactured by Tianzhong, commissioned in 2014 and shut down in 2023. It produces carbon steel and 200/300/400 series stainless steel, with a product range of 1.5-8mm thick, max. 430mm width for MS and 330mm for SS. It features a unique setup: one 3-Hi roughing mill, three 2-Hi vertical edgers, and nine finishing stands (first four are 2-Hi, last five are 4-Hi, all with AGC), ending with a vertical coiler.

    • R1 Roughing Mill: A unique 3-Hi (Three-High) stand with Mechanical Screwdown, used for the initial breakdown of the slab.

  • Edger Mill Area:

    • Consists of three (3) 2-Hi Vertical Edger Stands (E1, E2, E3) for width control.

  • Finishing Mill Area:

    • Comprises a total of nine (9) stands:

      • F1-F4: These are 2-Hi stands equipped with AGC (Automatic Gauge Control).

      • F5-F9: These are 4-Hi stands also equipped with AGC for precise final thickness control.

    • Work Roll Barrel Length:

      • F1-F5: 520 mm

      • F6-F9: 620 mm

  • Shearing and Coiling:

    • Crop Shear: Located before the finishing mill for head and tail cropping.

    • Coiler: A Vertical Coiler is used to wind the finished strip.
