650mm slitting line
1. Equipment Overview
This is a 650mm narrow-width slitting line, provided by Keepwin Industry Co., Limited as a used metallurgical total solution provider. Specifically designed for longitudinal slitting of narrow metal strips in the medium thickness range, it handles mother coils up to 650mm in width and is suitable for precision slitting of various materials including cold-rolled coils, hot-rolled pickled coils, galvanized coils, and prepainted coils. Its compact structural design and complete equipment configuration make it an ideal choice for small-to-medium metal processing enterprises or as supplementary capacity for larger companies' narrow-strip slitting needs.
2. Slitting Shaft System
The slitting shaft has a diameter of Ø120 mm. For the 650mm processing width, this shaft diameter provides ample rigidity and torsional strength, effectively ensuring blade stability during slitting while reducing vibration and deflection, thereby guaranteeing slitting width accuracy and edge quality. The shaft is made of high-quality alloy steel, precision-ground and heat-treated, offering excellent wear resistance and dimensional accuracy retention. The shaft design facilitates quick blade installation and removal, effectively reducing changeover time and improving equipment utilization and production flexibility.
3. Slitting Main Motor
The slitting shaft is driven by a 55 kW main motor. This power configuration provides ample cutting force for slitting operations in the medium thickness range (typically 0.3-3.0mm), capable of handling various materials such as cold-rolled coils, galvanized coils, and pickled coils. In slitting processing, the 55kW power ensures high-speed slitting efficiency for thin materials while providing sufficient torque for thicker specifications (such as 2.0-3.0mm). The motor's speed regulation capability ensures proper process parameter matching when switching between different thicknesses and materials.
4. Recoiling System
The recoiler is equipped with a 45 kW independent drive motor. The recoiler is responsible for rewinding multiple slit narrow strips into finished coils—the 45kW recoiling power ensures stable and appropriate recoiling tension during slitting, guaranteeing tight and neatly wound finished coils while preventing interlayer slippage and coil loosening. The recoiler is equipped with an expandable/retractable drum for easy coil unloading, improving operational efficiency. The reasonable power ratio between recoiler and slitting motor (45kW vs 55kW) ensures coordination in power transmission and tension control across the line.
5. Uncoiler System
The uncoiler is equipped with an 11 kW drive motor. The uncoiler is responsible for smoothly paying off the mother coil, providing continuous and stable strip input for the slitting process. The 11kW uncoiling power is ample for 650mm-width mother coils, providing sufficient pay-off torque under various coil weight conditions, ensuring stable tension before the strip enters the slitting zone and preventing strip misalignment or uneven stretching caused by insufficient or fluctuating pay-off tension.
6. Hydraulic System
The equipment is equipped with a 7.5 kW hydraulic station, providing stable and reliable hydraulic power for the line's hydraulic actuators (such as shaft locking, blade clamping, recoiler pinch rolls, and coil unloading devices). The 7.5kW hydraulic station power is the standard configuration for 650mm-class slitting lines, meeting the actuation requirements of all hydraulic mechanisms and ensuring flexible operation and rapid response.
7. Speed Performance
Although the maximum operating speed is not explicitly listed in the technical data sheet, referencing comparable 650mm-class narrow-width slitting line standards, the maximum speed of this line typically reaches 150-200 m/min. This speed level is more than sufficient for efficient slitting of medium-thickness strips, and precision advantages can be fully realized when processing thinner materials, achieving both high output and high quality.
